The NightShade

A character who made two appearances and was created for The Flash 1990 TV show. Dr. Desmond Powel. an African American costumed adventurer of the 50's, who had returned to his home of Central City after serving in the war. He had found things not doing all to well. Crime was rabid and a hero was needed. With an eye for adventure and a higher calling The Nightshade took a stand. He is equipped with a gun that fires knock-out darts, an incredibly durable and fast automobile, and various amazing gadgets. On top of that, he is durable, intelligent, quick-thinking, tenacious, and (by my speculation) humanly indestructible. All it took was one viewing of this man to be one of my most favorite superheroes of all time. To be totally honest, he seemed like a character made just for me. For one thing, I admire the shows creators for making him African American, refraining from the typical choices. This shows insight to the real possibilities of the world. Oh, and his theme music (or background music) is pretty awesome to. Not to mention his voice is pitch perfect.
Now about the art itself; this was about the third time I have ever used "Paint" on the computer. Normally I like to use traditional ways of art, but I figured I would give it a try for fun. Then I had this man in mind, so I started seeing what I could really do. If I may say, I am quite proud of how it came out. It was a lot of fun making it.
